Fondly: Uneven Sidewalk

I met her at a coffee shop. Though we had spoken, shared our secrets, our intentions…We hadn’t seen each other since that night. More realistically since she pointed out the little yellow house with the blue car, and I watched her vanish as we drove away.

We walked down the uneven sidewalk, our hands occasionally brushing against each other with our gait. We walked in silence, no awkward conversation interrupting our very specific steps away from the world.

The moment we got in the car…no words were spoken, no awkward moments shared. Nothing but the intense undeniable need to kiss.

So we did, as time stood still and the outside world vanished.

This was why I did it.

This moment.

This is why I turned my world upside down.

But where would we go?
